This is where the threshing machine used to be kept in Bergenhusen and is where the farmers from the surrounding area came with their grain to have it threshed. A communally used bush chopper for shredding prunings was also located here. The name “Dampferschuppen” (steam shed) is derived from the Lokomobile, a mobile steam engine that was brought to Bergenhusen on horseback and which powered these two machines.
